Since the late 1720s, frozen Woolly Mammoth bodies have been popping up in various places, particularly Siberia. They range from tiny calves to fully-grown adults. Apparently, the flesh of these Mammoths is still edible, despite it being 20,000 years old. So tell me, would you eat 20,000-year-old Mammoth meat?

Meat that is 200,000 years old? Probably not.

But at the moment I'm not sure.

Considering what I pay at the butchers for 28 day old aged meat, hell yeah I'd eat that. The older the steak, the better.

Think I'll pass. There's plenty of fresh choices to eat instead.

Think I'll pass. There's plenty of fresh choices to eat instead. Well, most cuts of beef actually improves with aging, so "fresh" meat isn't necessarily the best. Most steaks are aged for about 28 days, but can be aged for well over a year, and they get incredibly expensive. If a mammoth steak is still edible after 20,000 years, surely it'll be a unique palate experience.

There's something else one might do with a frozen preserved mammoth. Can anyone say, D N A ? There's even a book which discusses the possibilities:

Now why didn't I think of this? This sounds better than 20.000 year old meat.
