There's nothing like dinosaurs to inspire the imagination! All my long life I hadn't paid much attention to them until while flipping through channels I ran into Dinotopia. Now I'm a huge fan! It's fun to imagine what making friends with (for example) a Hadrosaurus might be like... Dinotopia and its author James Gurney has also renewed my interest in art. I like to make dino-themed pictures (like this one!) using GIMP -- does anyone else here enjoy drawing or sketching? Creating pictures brings me joy, it can do the same for anyone. Well that's enough for now, see you on the trails.

If only Dinotopia was a real place, I'd pack up and move to Waterfall City as fast as possible, though first I think I'd explore the island and spend a few weeks in each major town and city. Would love to be a Skybax Rider.
Breathe deep, seek peace.

Me too for sure. The people seem happy and unusually hospitable because they live The Codes. Most dinosaurs would love us, a few might love to eat us -- either way, the operative word all over Dinotopia is love! Not so much for me. My fear of heights exceeds that of David Scott, who managed to work through it. In fact it was the boys' character development which drew me to Dinotopia. David went from "I hate flying" to Skybax rider. And Karl finally learned compassion through his care for 26. Look! No baggage fees!
In no other world -- real or imagined -- does such a beautiful greeting prevail! Makes a good bumper sticker, too.
