Know of any dinosaur / natural history museums or dino-themed attractions? Of course you do! Feel free to post about them in this thread -- especially if you've been there and can share your own observations. To start us off, Fieldstation: Dinosaurs is a fun-filled, educational attraction with two locations in New Jersey and Kansas. The perimeter walking trail features over 30 life-size, somewhat animated dinos like these Pachycephalosauruses:
Scattered throughout there's shows and activities for all ages. The Kansas edition has even more dinos and a mini golf course. Definitely worth a visit, or two, or three ...

tinyurl.com/yckllxvzHere's a link to the Melbourne Museum website. There are heaps of interesting exhibitions including 'Bugs Alive!', 'Dinosaur Walk', '600 Million Years', 'Marine Life' and 'Dynamic Earth'. 'Dinosaur Walk' features ten mounted dinosaur skeletons, three pterosaur skeletons and a selection of other prehistoric animals. The museum's most popular exhibit features Phar Lap, Australia's most famous racehorse. There's also the 'Forest Gallery', where you can walk among rare plants and see various animals including fish, insects, reptiles and (if you're lucky) a beautiful male Satin Bowerbird.

Great museum! Here's a direct link to its Dinosaur Walk. The Hadrosaurus foulkii has been New Jersey's state dino for years, yet it's only now that she's represented at the New Jersey State Museum. Below is a photo I took looking down at the marl pit where "Haddy" was found -- and painting her in there (with GIMP) was fun!

Has anyone here been to Dinosaur World? There's several U.S. locations -- the photo below was taken in Plant City, FL. You'll find over 200 life-size fiberglass figures in a setting large enough to get lost in, as well as the largest and best gift shop I've ever seen.

A Stegosaurus at Dinosaur World. Too bad that none of their locations is near me so I've only been there twice (when visiting my sister I make a point to stop there).
